Review

From "Folk Bulletin ", May 2008, number 242
On stage La Frontera keeps all its recording promises : the accordeon player MIranda Cortes is for sure a beautiful frontwoman which well knows how to stay on a stage, with high professionalism, and has a great capacity to concentrate the public's attention on her musical gifts too; the guitarrist Michele Pucci, flamenco heartbeat, makes coming out of his intrument the deep substance of his musical feelings; the violinist Michele Sguotti catches the public's admiration thanks to his virtuous bow and Francesco Clera , the percussionist, with its various and spectacular drum-set composed by warmful ethnic sounds, is clear and creative so as to bound together La Frontera's sound. This band is really great on stage and it plays for sure a music of high quality.

With its engaging digipack, "Ferme tes yeux" worths of being signaled to readers of WMM... The CD is outstanding, as in the acoustic journeys with a strong rhythmic preponderance, as well as in the inroads into electronic music which reminds the Ekova.
